Issuing certain register office certificates

The CGRS issues certificates to recognised refugees and stateless persons, but not to beneficiaries of subsidiary protection.

  1. The most common document is the refugee certificate. When presenting this certificate to the local authorities, recognised refugees are issued a residence document, namely a certificate of registration in the aliens register or an identity card for foreigners.
  2. The Documents Service of the CGRS also issues the following documents: the stateless person certificate, register office certificates (birth certificate, marriage certificate or certificate of identity), certificates relating to refugee status, exemptions from authentication, and the certificate of waiver of refugee status and of the issue of the national passport.
