   Nationality declaration: one of the procedures to obtain Belgian nationality. It can be signed from the age of 18. For recognised refugees or beneficiaries of subsidiary protection status one of the conditions is to have resided legally in Belgium for at least 7 years.

   Naturalisation: one of the procedures to obtain Belgian nationality. It can be applied for from the age of 18. For beneficiaries of subsidiary protection status one of the conditions is to have resided legally in Belgium for at least 3 years. This term is reduced to 2 years for persons whose status as a refugee or stateless person has been recognised in Belgium.
