‘The asylum procedure in Belgium: Information for specialists’
This brochure is aimed at people who work in the area of asylum and who guide asylum seekers during the procedure. The idea is to explain the main principles of the asylum procedure which came into effect on 1 June 2007. Available in Dutch (PDF, 538.01 Kb) and French (PDF, 1.1 MB).
‘Women, girls and asylum in Belgium. Information for women and girls who apply for asylum’ (JPG, 3.43 MB)
This brochure was drawn up for female asylum seekers and does not only contain information about the asylum procedure itself, but it also treats other more specific themes such as health, the issue of equality between men and women, violence within the family, the problem of female genital mutilation, human trafficking… In order to reach as many female asylum seekers as possible, the brochure was translated in nine languages: Albanian, English, Arabic, French, Dutch, Pashto, Peul, Russian and Serbian. The brochure is not distributed among a wider public and copies will not be sent on request.

The comic strip is a means of communication which, through its form and content, is aimed at minors. It aims to be an accessible, attractive instrument of learning for unaccompanied minors who make an application for asylum. Also available in Dutch and French.

The CGRS has just published a new brochure called ‘Interview Charter’. Among other things, the charter contains deontological safeguards regarding the protection officer’s attitude as well as guidelines for conducting an asylum interview. 'Deontology for translations and interpretations' (PDF, 190.49 Kb)
