Deze COI Focus maakt een stand van zaken op over de veiligheidssituatie in de regionale staat Oromia in Ethiopië.

Dit rapport bouwt verder op de gelijknamige COI Focus van 15 februari 2022. Anders dan voorgaande COI Focus gaat dit rapport niet in op de demografische context van de regio, ook gaat het niet uitgebreid in op de politieke ontwikkelingen in de periode volgend op het aantreden van premier Abiy Ahmed. Dit rapport beperkt zich tot de gewapende opstand van het Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), en focust daarbij op de periode vanaf het Cessation of Hositilities Agreement (CoHA) dat begin november 2022 een einde maakt aan de oorlog in Tigray tot februari 2024.

Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 11 maart 2024.

Deze COI Focus maakt een stand van zaken op over de veiligheidssituatie in de regionale staat Amhara in Ethiopië. Het onderzoek richt zich in het bijzonder op de periode van november 2022 tot februari 2024, en maakt gebruik van cijfergegevens over geweldincidenten voor de periode van 1 november 2022 tot 31 januari 2024. Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 19 februari 2024. Gebeurtenissen die in zich in februari 2024 hebben voorgedaan, zijn in de mate van het mogelijke nog toegevoegd aan deze COI Focus.

Het doel van dit onderzoek is een stand van zaken op te maken over de veiligheidssituatie in Soedan na het uitbreken van de oorlog op 15 april 2023. Het onderzoek werd afgerond op 16 februari 2024.

Niger

Ce rapport met à jour un précédent COI Focus daté du 20 juin 2019. Il dresse un état des lieux de la situation sécuritaire au Niger, pour la période allant du 1er mai 2019 au 31 mars 2020. Toutefois, certaines décisions politiques prises en avril 2020 dans le cadre de la crise sanitaire liée à l’épidémie de Covid-19 sont citées dans ce rapport.

Le relevé des incidents figurant dans ce COI Focus ne prétend pas à l’exhaustivité.

This COI Focus describes the current security situation in Niger, more particularly during the period from 1 February 2018 to 30 April 2019. It updates two previous COI Focus Niger. Situation sécuritaire dated 23 May 2016 and Niger. Addendum. Situation sécuritaire du 1er mai 2016 au 31 janvier 2018 dated 20 February 2018.

The documentary research was closed on 2 May 2019. However, because the Nigerian government decided, at the time of writing this COI Focus, i. e. in June 2019, to extend the state of emergency in several départements, information on this topic has been updated.

This report is part of a series of two COI reports on Nigeria produced in 2021. The reports provide information relevant for international protection status determination for Nigerian applicants, and in particular for use in updating EASO's country guidance development on Nigeria.

This report is an update and expansion of the 2015 EASO COI report Nigeria, Sex Trafficking of women.

The first draft of this report was finalised on 1 March 2021. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

L’objectif de ce COI Focus consiste à dresser un état des lieux de la situation sécuritaire dans le nord-est du Nigeria, en particulier sur la période allant du 28 mars 2018 au 28 octobre 2020, date à laquelle les recherches ont été clôturées. Les Etats principalement concernés sont ceux d’Adamawa, de Borno et de Yobe. Ce COI Focus est une mise à jour du COI Focus du 28 mars 2018 sur la situation sécuritaire liée à Boko Haram.

This document discusses the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) in Nigeria and is an update of a COI Focus of 12 October 2015. Four countries account for two thirds of cut women worldwide:  Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan and Nigeria, which has the largest population in Africa (178.5 million inhabitants in 2014). With 20 million cut women, Nigeria is also the country with the largest number of women who underwent FGM.
