This report covers initial developments since the Taliban takeover on 15 August 2021, namely the Taliban's government formation, policy making and policy implementation, as well as the situation under Taliban rule for the general population and for some specific groups or profiles. Security incidents and violence related to resistance, insurgent groups, terrorism and similar elements have also been included, as well as information on the general humanitarian situation. The report does not cover events after 8 December 2021.
Deze COI Focus geeft zicht op de actuele situatie in Bosnië-Herzegovina. De aandacht gaat hierbij specifiek uit naar de rechtstoestand, de toepassing van de rechtsvoorschriften in het democratische stelsel, de politieke omstandigheden, de mate waarin vervolging of mishandeling voorkomen en de mate waarin er tegen eventuele vervolging of mishandeling bescherming geboden wordt.

Dit onderzoek buigt zich over de specifieke situatie van seksuele minderheden en transgenders in Colombia. Cedoca gebruikt in deze COI Focus de term seksuele minderheden en transgenders steeds in zijn geheel om de situatie voor deze groep personen te beschrijven. Indien er verschillende situaties worden vastgesteld voor enerzijds seksuele minderheden of anderzijds transgenders geeft Cedoca dit steeds duidelijk aan. Daar waar de bron zelf de term LGBT gebruikt, neemt Cedoca de terminologie van de bron consequent over. Deze COI Focus behandelt de periode van januari 2015 tot december 2021 en is een update van de gelijknamige COI Focus van 19 oktober 2020. Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 15 december 2021.

This report covers the overall security situation in Afghanistan from 1 March to 31 August 2021 and contains information on clashes and other security related events on provincial and district level during the reference period. The report also describes the Taliban's take-over of Afghanistan as international forces withdrew, beginning with the increased number of districts falling under Taliban control between March and July, followed by the capture of provincial capitals between 6 and 14 August, including the 'heavily defended' northern city of Mazar-e Sharif, and the final take-over of the capital Kabul on 15 August 2021.
The report does not cover events after 31 August.

The general description of the city contains information on the geography and population. The chapter on the background of the conflict takes a longer-term look at the security situation in Kabul and includes descriptions of the actors active in the city. In the chapter on recent security trends, the nature and frequency of the violence, illustrative incidents as well as civilian casualties and the further impact on civilians in Kabul are described within a timeframe from 1 April 2020 until 15 May 2021. Lastly, a separate chapter is dedicated to population displacements caused by the conflict and the situation of internally displaced people (IDPs) and returnees in Kabul City.
