As previously announced, the CGRS has been taking decisions for all Afghan cases again since March 2022, after a partial suspension following the seizure of power by the Taliban.
As a result of a number of judgements regarding decisions of the CGRS, the CGRS has updated the COI and further refined its policy.
Since this week, processing of Afghan applications has fully resumed. The policy has not fundamentally changed and the previous explanation still applies.
