Situation générale

Het doel van dit onderzoek is een stand van zaken op te maken over de algemene situatie in Venezuela. Het onderzoek richt zich hierbij op de politieke situatie, de veiligheidssituatie en de socioeconomische situatie van het land om een zo breed mogelijke analyse te maken van de huidige stand van zaken. De situatie van specifieke profielen, zoals bijvoorbeeld journalisten of politieke activisten, vormen geen voorwerp van deze analyse. Deze COI Focus richt zich in het bijzonder op de periode van mei 2022 tot juni 2023 en is een update van het gelijknamige rapport van 30 mei 2022. Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 26 juni 2023.

EASO COI Report Iraq Security Situation provides information about relevant security trends at national and governorate levels for the period 1 January 2019 – 31 July 2020.

This report is an update of the EASO COI report on Iraq, Security situation, published in March 2019.

This report is the last of a series of Iraq reports produced in 2020, covering – besides the security situation – also key socio-economic indicators and the targeting of individuals of different profiles.

The report was co-drafted by EASO and Belgium, Office of the Commissioner General for Refugees and Stateless Persons, Cedoca (Centre for Documentation and Research).

EASO COI Report. Key socio-economic indicators for Baghdad, Basra and Erbil

This report is a part of a series of Iraq reports that will be produced in 2020. The reports provide information relevant for international protection status determination for Iraqi asylum seekers and will be used to inform the update of the chapter on Internal Protection Alternative within the EASO Country Guidance on Iraq 2020 update.

This report provides information on key socio-economic indicators in Iraq, focusing on Baghdad, Basra and Erbil. It highlights aspects of demographics, humanitarian context, IDPs/returnees, women, children, support networks, documents, and impact of COVID-19. Relevant indicators include the general economic situation, access to employment and livelihoods, poverty, food and water security, housing and living conditions, access to health care, and access to education.

This report is an update to the EASO COI Report Iraq Key Socio-economic Indicators published in February 2019.

The drafting of this report was finalised on 27 July 2020. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

Security Situation in Central and Southern Iraq
20 Mars 2020

The aim of this COI Focus is to examine the security situation in Central and Southern Iraq, including the capital Baghdad. The area comprises the provinces of Anbar, Diyala, Kirkuk, Ninewa and Salah al-Din (Central Iraq), the capital province of Baghdad and the provinces of Southern Iraq: Babil, Basra, Karbala, Maysan, al-Muthanna, Najaf, Qadisiya, Dhi Qar and Wasit. Research focused in particular on the period from March 2019 to January 2020.

This COI Focus is a partial update of the EASO report on the security situation in Iraq: EASO Country of Origin Report Iraq, Security Situation, March 2019.

De veiligheidssituatie in de Koerdische Autonome Regio
20 Novembre 2019

Deze COI Focus maakt een stand van zaken op van de veiligheidssituatie in de Noord-Iraakse provincies onder officiële controle van de Koerdische Regionale Regering (KRG), de zogenaamde Koerdische Autonome Regio (KAR). Deze regio bestaat uit de provincies Erbil, Suleimaniya en Dohuk.

Dit rapport is een update van het gelijknamige document dat dateert van 14 maart 2018 en het Iraq Security Situation Report van het European Asylum Support Office (EASO) dd. maart 2019. Het onderzoek liep tot 30 september 2019.
